Help a new mom on her unexpected journey into motherhood

UPDATE: Mom is back with baby girl and is sore, but healing. What they thought was a seizure when she first arrived had to do with her umbilical cord being around her neck. They are monitoring her brain activity and as of right now it is perfectly normal. If there are problems with her heart beat or blood pressure, they will look further into the fluid around her heart, however, as of right now they do not think that's an issue. She is on a breathing tube and will be until she's off the cooling pad, which will be after 72 hours after arrival. Thursday they will be warming her back up for 12 hours to normal body temperature and should be able to take the breathing tube out. As of right now, she is doing great. Please, continue to keep them both in your prayers.

Without giving any private details, there is a very young mother who gave birth to her first child yesterday afternoon. Momma went to the hospital with complaints of pain and got the surprise of her life when the doctors told her she was giving birth, as she had no knowledge of the pregnancy!

After finding out baby was breach and requiring an emergency c-section, baby girl was life flighted to Northern Light Health in Bangor last night. Mom is expected to be transported within the next couple of hours to be with her. Mom will very likely be discharged before baby and will need to stay close by. I have offered to take her into my home until baby girl is able to leave the NICU and go home.

I am currently in the process of collecting donated items from many different wonderful sources.
