Help A Family Start a New Life Free from Violence

Donation protected
I am a crisis worker for families escaping violence. One of our girls, Rachel is a strong, humble, and resilient mother of two, who after enduring years of domestic violence, has taken the brave step of leaving a dangerous and controlling relationship. She is currently staying in a domestic violence refuge with her children, trying to rebuild a life marked by peace, safety, and hope.

she has had it all- threats to kill, videos of guns and knives, her tyres slashed and car followed. She is at real risk.

Rachel was in a dangerous relationship. marked by escalating emotional, physical, and psychological abuse. Most recently, she and her children were forced to flee their home after a terrifying incident where the perpetrator, under the influence of methamphetamine, became abusive toward the children. Terrified and feeling unsafe, the children made their way to Rachel’s workplace—where she was working a night shift—because they no longer felt safe at home. That night, the three of them slept in their car.

Sadly, this was not an isolated incident. Rachel and her children have endured:

-Threats to kill, including with weapons
-Sexual coercion
-Physical assaults
-Verbal abuse and intimidation
-Extreme surveillance, with the perpetrator allegedly placing listening devices in Rachel’s car and installing cameras in the home.
-Ongoing control and manipulation, including phone monitoring, jealousy, and efforts to isolate Rachel from her friends and support networks.

Recently, Rachel has been followed while driving—a particularly frightening experience as her current car is bright, old, and easily recognizable. Her tyres were slashed in a threatening act of intimidation. She and her children continue to live in fear, knowing they are still being looked for.

She has had to move jobs twice.

Why We Need Your Help

Rachel urgently needs a safe, reliable vehicle—a car that won’t make her a visible target and that can support her family’s safety and independence. Another vehicle would mean:
Anonymity and security, as her current car is too easy to spot.

Safe transport to work, school, and essential appointments.

A critical step toward rebuilding independence and regaining control over her life. Despite all that she’s been through, Rachel has not given up. She has completed training programs, secured job opportunities, and is working hard to create a stable, safe life for her children.

How You Can Help
We are raising funds to help Rachel purchase a reliable second-hand vehicle.
