Help a New College Student Transfer to Hampshire

Hi, I'm a 3rd-year Biopsych/Neuroscience student and my pronouns are she/her. I just want to say thank you all for the immense support you've shown us students over the last few months. It has been heartbreaking and infuriating watching all this happen in real time, and it has come to a point where my girlfriend and I no longer feel safe living here.

I took Hampshire College up on their offer to match tuition and we are moving to Massachusetts on May 31st when our lease is up. I'm going to continue studying Neuroscience and hopefully go to Yale for medical school in Fall 2024.

I'm in need of direct assistance with expenses for moving across the country. Luckily, the apartments near the college are around $1500, which is what we pay at our current apartment in Bradenton, but the problem is affording the move. We don't have the extra funds for first, last, and a security deposit on top of $1400 to UHaul our furniture and other transportation fees to get all the way up to Massachusetts. We're trying to save up as much as we can over the next 10 days, but we already know it most likely won't be possible; we still have to pay rent and other bills. As excited as I am, I know I can't accept the offer from Hampshire if I can't physically afford to move there. I am trying to put down my deposit at Hampshire in the next 10 days before the move, and anything you could contribute to moving costs will enable me to accept the offer.

I got the email about the amazing continuation of support you all are offering and it gave us hope that maybe transfering can be possible. I'm grateful for everything that's being done and any support is appreciated. I'm also willing to provide my acceptance letter from Hampshire College for verification.
