Chris Quincy has been a hard working painter for 30 years and was working at Double Tree Hotels for the last 7 years. He found out he had blood clots in his leg last August and had to have his leg amputated. He received short term disability for 6 months and it ran out in January. He filed for social security disability in January and was accepted it but it hasn't come in yet. It takes months. Today 6/2/2024, Chris just lost his apartment. He has been in his apartment for 2 years and was a good tenant but due to circumstances, today is his last day. He has nowhere to go but his vehicle. He needs support for hotel costs until social security disability comes in and to be able to rest his body and heal to prevent losing his other leg. The temperature will be hot soon and his body is already very weak due to his disability.
He’ll need a bed and a bathroom close due to him being an amputee. Motel 6 is around $55 a night. This would give him a place to rest and shower to heal this summer while waiting on his social security to come in which will likely not be until August or September.
He is surrendered his 3 yr old dog Chloe on 5/31/24 to a wonderful gentleman who will care for her until Chris can.
Thank you to all who have donated these last few months. He is now in an emergency situation as an amputee and needs a place to heal to prevent a sharp decline,
Kelly Murphy Boulé
