*Update* It is with great sadness that we share the news that Blue, the family’s beloved dog, did not survive the fire.*

On December 19th, in the early hours of the morning, a family of four from Nanoose Bay experienced every family’s worst nightmare, their home was gutted by a fast-moving fire, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of the Nanoose Bay Fire Department, all four family members, including two children, escaped safely, but their home is no longer livable and everything inside was destroyed.

Why We Need Your Help:

This family now faces an overwhelming road to recovery. They have lost:

• Their home and all personal belongings

• Clothing, furniture, toys, keepsakes, and essentials

• A safe space for their children to grow and thrive

No family should have to start over this way, especially during the holiday season.
