Help a Mother access Cancer Treatment

Assalamu Alaykum Everyone,

Fadumo Noor Mohamed, a family friend of mine & a Somali mom of 8, based in Mogadishu, needs our help. She has been diagnosed with Invasive Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a type of Esophageal Cancer that is progressing quite aggressively, and is struggling to put together the funds she needs for medical treatment and to support her family. As of now, Fadumo struggles to eat, seeing as the tumor is obstructing her esophagus and she is unable to swallow properly. She is in immense pain daily and is rapidly losing weight. Fadumo's only chance at the proper treatment is to travel to India or Turkey via Kenya. She has been quoted $50,000 USD, including the travel funds, living arrangements, and medical bills if she is granted the opportunity.

The tumor is still local to her throat, so there is hope that the cancer treatment can put her in remission and prevent the cancer from metastasizing/spreading to other places in her body.
