Reaching out for community support in a crisis. I am a traveling musician who is currently on tour. This past week, while I was on my first festival run, upon leaving the site, I found out that my identity was stolen and my bank accounts were emptied to $0. I feel incredibly helpless in this crisis and have to wait up to two weeks or longer to find out if any of my funds will be returned or not. I have absolutely no funds to survive on in this moment and need to continue travel to my other sites as a working musician, to feed myself, to pay rent, and also needing funds to get home after this season is complete. I hope to be fully recovered financially after these disputes are cleared. In any case I am not, any support right now can help me tremendously. I also am asking for any advice on how to protect myself more fully moving forward as I have never experienced this before and I want to look out for any blind spots navigating this trauma. If you can support me in any way I would be so grateful. This is such a hard, vulnerable ask for me but I have no idea what else to do. Thank you for your consideration.
