I became a musician in September 2024, and in just over a year my life expanded in ways I never imagined. By December 2025, I had performed on national radio, toured the UK twice, and played stages like KOKO and Islington Assembly Hall. For the first time, I felt like I had stepped into a version of myself that made sense — not an orphan, not an immigrant trying to survive, but an artist with a future.
In early 2026, everything collapsed at once. I survived domestic abuse, was illegally evicted, and became homeless. I have no family in the UK or US and no one to stay with. As a Venezuelan American immigrant, I’ve been navigating this crisis alone.
I came to London because it’s the only place where I can access the specialist legal support I need — and the only place where I can safely rebuild my life and my music. Right now, I’m staying in hostels while I wait for the council to place me in temporary accommodation. It’s unstable, expensive, and often unsafe, but it’s the only option I have until I’m somewhere secure.
I’m also deeply afraid of being forced back to the United States, where the current political climate makes it unsafe for me. Staying in London isn’t just about rebuilding my career — it’s about staying alive, staying grounded, and staying somewhere I can access the level of legal aid and specialist charity support I need to survive this situation.
I’m doing everything I can to survive this transition, but I urgently need help covering hostel stays, food, transport, and basic living costs while legal processes continue. Any support will help me stay safe, stable, and able to rebuild my life and my music.
Thank you for reading, and for helping me hold onto a future.
