As many of you know, I have spent many years fighting and advocating for victims of abuse. After what I went through legally, I know how important it is to have both financial resources and a strong support network to get through these types of injustices.
A woman that I have come to know through the work I have done is in need of help. She is facing an urgent and difficult legal battle. Recently, her partner was arrested for domestic violence against her and she was granted a protective order and temporary custody of their young child. She is left without the financial means to secure legal representation for herself, largely due to past financial abuse. With an urgent legal deadline approaching, she is in desperate need of support to ensure her and her child’s safety and future.
Having a lawyer will make a world of difference for her and her child. It will help her feel safer, protect her child, and give her a fair chance in court. She has been the primary caregiver since her child was born, and it is vital for the child’s well-being that the child remains with her and that she is granted full legal and physical custody. Without proper legal help, she risks losing the stability and safety she has worked so hard to provide for her child.
