Two Months to RN!

Hello, for those of you that don't know me, my name is Kristalee. Another thing you should know is that being able to help people has always been a passion of mine. I started volunteering in a burn center at the age of 16 and have remained inspired ever since. First I became an EMT, then a surgical assistant, and now I am working on becoming the best nurse I can be.

In the photo above, I am working on one project I collaborated on with the local farmers market and community college nursing program. We provided the option of free mini health assessments to over 300 community members at a local farmers market that also provides free boxes of produce. This is just one of many projects I have in mind to give back to the beautiful souls that encompass our community. The same people that have supported me on my journey.

On a personal note, it has been an incredibly difficult two years for me. I am sure that does not set me apart from many others, but it is with extreme humility that I ask for help.

To know me, you must know I wear many caps. I am currently working as a server and also for a surgery center, but most importantly- I am a mother to three precious angels. They are my why. They are my everything.

What I make on an hourly wage, I hand over to my babysitters. I depend on tips to pay the rest of our basic needs and we are coming up short. A typical 9-5pm job would not allow me to continue my or provide a better future to my children.

Finishing this last year of school will put me in a financial position to provide for my children the life they deserve. My dream is to become a Nurse Practitioner and provide health care to all individuals, but especially focus on women and children who have been in my position.
