For more than 15 years, Joanna has faced cancer with extraordinary strength, faith, and resilience. Through every setback and challenge, she has continued to fight with courage. Recently, her cancer returned, and she is now facing stage 4, along with significant pain and uncertainty about what lies ahead. For the past six months, she has been unable to work, creating a growing financial burden at a time when her focus should be on her health, comfort, and the time she has with her family.

While many of her treatments are thankfully covered by Medicaid, the everyday expenses of life, caring for her children, and the financial strain of being unable to work continue to weigh heavily on her family. Joanna is a devoted mother of three: an older son, age 23, and two young daughters, ages 8 and 10, who live with her. She has also fought hard to homeschool her children and give them love, stability, and guidance through all of life’s challenges. As her condition has become more difficult, that responsibility has become even more burdensome, adding to the emotional and physical weight she is already carrying.

This fundraiser is meant to help ease the pressure of household bills, support her children, and relieve some of the financial stress during this incredibly difficult season. Joanna is a woman of deep Christian faith, and throughout this journey she continues to lean on God for strength, comfort, and hope.
