This is my daughter, Miranda. She is seventeen years old. She was diagnosed with cancer (endometrial stromal sarcoma) at the same time as me. We recently found out that it spread and she has a four-inch tumor in her iliac vein. She has to have a rare, complicated, and dangerous surgery because it's the only option. Her surgery will be hours from home. She will be on life support in a medically induced coma for a couple of days and then will stay at least another week. I would not be asking for help if I didn't really need it. We have to make sure the children here are taken care of while we are gone and make sure we have what we need while we are out there. Then, when we get back, there will be no paychecks because PFL only covers one family member and there are two of us. After surgery after surgery and treatment after treatment for both of us, there is no PFL left. Please find it in your heart to help us through this very scary, stressful time.
