I'm a single mother living, working, and raising my son in Eastern Montana. While in another state, on my way to visit my son for a few days over the summer, I became very ill. What was supposed to be a three-day fishing trip ended up being a 10-day stint in the hospital after an ambulance ride and my vehicle at a mechanic, all in a state my insurance won't cover.

Physically, I'm okay now. I've received an all-clear from my doctor and specialists, the work on my vehicle is done, but I suffered brain damage in the hospital that led to our money meant for housing over the school year going to hotel rooms while I took too long figuring out what to do next and a demotion at my job.

I have a small business selling baked goods, art, and my books at the fairs, but because of the damage I sustained, I'm late to jump in and with way more bills than I'm able to bring money in for.
