Help a Mom's Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer

Hello Family & Friends!

I have dreaded this moment since I received the news, but the more I pray on it, the easier it becomes.

In July 2023 I became very ill and became hospitalized. Many tests were ran and doctors kept thinking it was just pancreatitis. They discharged me after 3 weeks of hospital stay. I got home and became even more sick so I returned to the hospital in Thomasville. They immediately sent me to Mobile for deeper observation. After spending another 4 weeks in the hospital, doctors finally came in my room and informed me that they found a neuroendocrine tumor on the head of my pancreas and it had already spreaded to my liver. The bad news is it’s cancer. The good news is it’s a slow growing cancer and it can be removed with a major surgery called a whipple. This isn’t a cheap surgery. and it isn’t an easy one either. Insurance is only paying for so much and i still have so much to pay as well on my end. And it’s a very invasive surgery.

This surgery consists of removing the head of my pancreas, removing my gallbladder, cutting a portion of my stomach off, cutting a portion of my intestines off as well. It will require a one week hospital stay and a 2-3 day ICU stay. And then a 12 week recovery at home where i won’t be able to walk by myself and will be very limited to eating certain foods.

Most importantly i cant work. I still have a 4, soon to be 5 year old that i have to be strong and fight and provide for. He’s being so supportive through this process and still looks at me as if im a superhero.!

I am asking for any help whether it’s mentally, spiritually, financially, or physically. This isn’t an easy battle, but with love, support, and prayers i know i can beat this.! Thank you to all that are on my side in beating this cancer.! I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YALL❤️‍
