HELP A MOM AND CHILDREN LEAVE AN UNSAFE HOUSEHOLD
Donation protected
A local mother and children in Marlboro, VT have had to leave their home due to domestic violence. They are receiving some community support services from the Women's Freedom Center in Brattleboro to meet their most immediate and basic needs of safety, shelter, food, etc. They need some financial support to help establish themselves independently in permanent, safe housing.
I have had the pleasure of getting to know this mom and have witnessed that she is an extremely hard-working person. Through our conversations, it is clear that she is very determined to establish independence and a healthier future for herself and her children and has taken many decisive steps in that direction. She is also not the type of person who would ask for help, especially for herself. However, she has agreed to let me create this donation page because her biggest goal right now is to get her children into permanent housing and out of the uncertainty that is their current day-to-day life.
She needs funds to obtain new housing (ideally as a down payment on a trailer home that she has found) and to obtain all the furniture and other household items they would need to get set up. A donation in any amount would be greatly appreciated to support her with this massive undertaking.
