Help a Mom and Baby Start Fresh

I’m a new mom to a bright and happy 10-month-old daughter. We recently returned to the Bay Area after an unexpected separation, and I’m starting over with very little. My parents are here and offer emotional support, but they aren’t able to help financially. My daughter’s father up and left us with no money or support, and his family has also abandoned us during this difficult time. I’m reaching out for help as I work to rebuild a stable life for us.

Right now, I need support to cover a security deposit for a safe place to live, basic baby essentials for my daughter, any essentials I need as well, and legal costs. The Bay Area is expensive, but it’s where I have the most support to move forward as a single mother. I’ve never had to ask for help like this before, and it’s not easy, but I’m determined to do everything I can for my daughter. She’s an incredibly smart and happy baby, and I want to make sure she continues to thrive.

I’m actively looking for full-time work and have experience as a nanny. I’ve also applied for state assistance and am waiting to hear back. This has been a difficult and emotional time for me, I feel betrayed and disappointed, but I’m focused on creating a better future for us.
