Joe is an Air Force Veteran and dedicated family man who has always worked hard to provide for his wife and their growing family. With their third child due to arrive, Joe and his wife were looking forward to creating a brighter future in a new home. Instead, they’ve found themselves trapped in an unimaginable nightmare.

They were victims of a predatory real estate transaction—a deceptive agreement filled with misleading terms and hidden clauses. Without their full understanding, the deed to their home was transferred out of their name, leaving the existing mortgage in place. This meant that Joe and his family were not able to purchase another home because he could not qualify. Originally, the “buyer” of the home rented the home back to Joe and his family while they looked for a new place (at $1000 over the mortgage payment), but now, Joe and his family face an eviction notice, unable to secure financing for a new home and desperate to protect their family’s future.

To make matters worse, the legal complexity of this situation has made finding affordable representation nearly impossible.
