Help a Massillon veteran find Hope

Donation protected
Hello Tiger Nation, my name is Chuck Tribett, class of '81.
I'm reaching out on behalf of my long-time friend and classmate Bob Zehnder. As many of you will remember with pride, Bob was a Massillon Tiger basketball standout, averaging over 25 points a game his senior year and earning a spot among the top 15 all-time scorers in Tiger history. But Bob's heroism didn't stop at the gym doors. He went on to serve our country with honor for 28 years in the National Guard, Army, Army Reserves, Air Force, and Air Force Reserves, with deployments to Desert Storm, Iraq, and Kuwait. After his military service, Bob continued to give back as a correctional officer for 27 years, serving in Stark County, always putting others before himself. Despite a lifetime of service, Bob now finds himself facing his darkest days. He is currently living in a VA shelter, struggling with the emotional weight of a bitter divorce, mental illness, depression, and anxiety. Just 6 months ago, he came heartbreakingly close to taking his own life, but this is not where Bob's story should end. This GoFundMe is a call to action to Tigers, to veterans, to friends, and to anyone with a compassionate heart to help a man who has given everything for his community and country. Every donation will go directly toward helping Bob secure stable housing, cover daily expenses, and begin to rebuild his life he fought so hard to protect. Let's stand up for someone who has always stood up for us, for Massillon, for America, and for what's right.
With heartfelt thanks,
Chuck Tribett
