Help a Marine Veteran Overcome Negligent Lending

I'm a disabled veteran who served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, I have no criminal record, I've never been a day late on a mortgage payment, and yet I've found that it seems I've lost my rights in relationship to the purchase of a property. My lender underwrote an ineligible property, which ipso facto impugns the veracity of the appraisal the lender used. There were some serious problems with the appraisal, with addition where there should have been subtraction, and it's inexplicable that it made it past underwriting. While I was told by the lender that I was walking into equity, I am most likely in negative equity.

There are some other issues with the transaction, such as the property being unsuitable for habitation when I purchased it. I have had to spend thousands of dollars on remediation for the health and safety hazard missed by the inspector.

I've exhausted almost all avenues to pursue a resolution through various complaint processes. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau did nothing to help me. I received a one paragraph, scatterbrained response from the lender that didn't address any of the problems and actually concocted faux facts. The state banking department sat on a response from the lender for almost two months, waiting until the response literally meant absolutely nothing before forwarding to me, and then closing out my complaint. They have not allowed me to re-open a complaint. Everything that is supposedly there to protect consumers has failed.

I've consulted with attorneys and they all agree I have a case, but they invariably tell me they don't handle cases like this. I found one attorney who was maybe willing to take my case, but said they wouldn't take a case like mine on a contingency fee, and that my legal expenses could very well exceed what I'm able to get back. I purchased the property as a temporary budget move for $68,000, and that's why I am trying to raise $68,000. Any help I can get to offset the cost of this property, on which I believe I'm a victim of fraud, would be greatly appreciated.

I can provide empirical evidence to buttress everything I write. Here's a link to a more detailed explanation of the problems with the transaction: https://od.lk/d/OTJfNjE3MDQ5NThf/ComplaintRedacted.docx
