Hi everyone, I’m Jessica, a working mom here in Madison, Wisconsin, trying to keep my three kids safe and sheltered.

After leaving a domestic violence situation, we were placed in temporary housing through DAIS, but that support ended on September 30th. Since then, I’ve been paying for our hotel completely out of pocket while continuing to work and search for stable housing.

I recently got a call back from Shelter From The Storm — they can help, but not until the end of October or early November. I just need to bridge the gap until then so we can stay somewhere safe.

Any help toward covering our hotel for the next few weeks would mean the world to me and my children. Even one night of safety makes a huge difference.
