For over 31 years, this strong, compassionate woman has served as a civilian employee for the United States Marine Corps—working tirelessly behind the scenes to support our military operations and the men and women in uniform.

She was just ten months away from retiring when her life changed overnight.

In early 2024, she suffered her first stroke that left her unable to work. In June of 2025, she suffered her second debilitating stroke that left her in dire need of some help. Being unable to work, she has used up every hour of sick leave she earned and even received donated leave from her colleagues—an incredible outpouring of support.

But now, after eight long months of Leave Without Pay, her savings are gone. There’s no income, no approved disability benefits yet, and no clear timeline for recovery.

She is a single woman, dealing with the enormous physical and emotional toll of recovery.

Despite her strength and service, she is now facing:

• Mounting medical and rehab expenses

• Fighting an eviction notice and utilities being shut off

• Difficulty paying for food, transportation, and basic needs

• Navigating a slow and complex government benefits system

We’re launching this GoFundMe to help her bridge the gap—to hold on through this devastating chapter and reach the retirement she has more than earned.
