We are raising funds for our Aunt Mylin, Yetty’s mother, Mylin Lara Delos Santos, a devoted wife and loving mother who travelled from the Philippines to the UK to spend precious time with her daughter and young family.

What was meant to be a joyful holiday quickly turned into a nightmare. Aunt Mylin suddenly became critically unwell, struggling to breathe, and was rushed to hospital. Doctors discovered she was suffering from severe aortic stenosis, a life-threatening heart condition that made it impossible for her to return back to the Philippines

Today, 18th December 2025, Mylin has undergone AVR (AORTIC VALVE REPLACEMENT) surgery, fighting for her life far from home.

As the family tried to process this, they received even more devastating news Aunt Mylin has also been diagnosed with LUNG ADENOCARCINOMA. This diagnosis has turned their lives upside down.

Her family is heartbroken and facing unimaginable challenges, and any support during this painful time would mean the world.

Instead of returning home, Aunt Mylin and her husband now face prolonged medical care far from their support network, while their family navigates the emotional and financial strain of an unexpected and life-altering illness.

The costs associated with urgent medical treatment, ongoing investigations, accommodation, daily living expenses, and unforeseen needs are overwhelming. As visitors to the UK, Aunt Mylin and her husband are facing expenses that were never anticipated and cannot be managed alone.
