Help a Loving Grandfather & Devoted Husband Fight Myeloma

We are reaching out to our community, friends, and loved ones to support Melvin, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who has been battling Multiple Myeloma cancer for over a decade with extraordinary strength and determination.

After enduring three bone marrow transplants, Melvin is now undergoing CAR-T cell therapy, a complex and aggressive treatment that gives us hope—but also comes with major challenges. He will need to be hospitalized for at least two weeks following the procedure, followed by a strict quarantine and recovery period of 100 days or more. During this time, he will be unable to work, placing a serious financial strain on his family.

As the primary breadwinner, Melvin has always worked tirelessly to support his family, even while fighting cancer. Now, during this critical stage of treatment, we are asking for help to cover household expenses and mounting medical bills while he focuses on healing.

His loving wife Sandra, affectionately known as “Vegas” by many, has worked at PetSmart for over 27 years. She continues to stand by Melvin's side through every challenge, but with only one income and long-term recovery ahead, they need our help more than ever.

Melvin is a proud grandfather of nine and is known for his generous heart and unwavering commitment to those he loves. Even in his most difficult times, he has always been the one to give. Now, it's our turn to give back to him.
