HELP A LOVING FAMILY OF FOUR (THE MURPHY FAMILY)

My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

On February 7, 2023 at approximately 5am, Roy,

his supportive wife Vanessa, and two daughters Kim and Alicia Murphy were headed to Roy’s appointment to confirm if either daughter were a kidney donor match. En route to their destination, they were involved in a horrific and near fatal accident.

Gratefully, the four were pulled from the wreckage moments before the car engulfed in flames. The fire destroyed the entirety of the vehicle, leaving only the metal frame.

Three of four are expected to remain in the hospital for several additional weeks under the doctor's care. Vanessa, Kim, and Alicia have undergone multiple surgeries with more scheduled in the near future while Roy has recently been released from ICU, but remains in extensive rehabilitative care.

Roy Murphy shared his heart, soul, and contagious smile for years with our community. His fatherly duties were not only impactful in his home but also to everyone he encountered.

Roy and Vanessa are both retirees that survive solely on a fixed income. Their daughters, Kim and Alicia, will be unable to return to work indefinitely due to their injuries.

The Murphy's are facing a substantial amount of hardships due to the accident. To name a few, rehabilitation, physical therapy, daily living expenses, special nutrition, wound care, medical bills, a new car with accessible features to transport, and significant home modifications and equipment to accommodate their physical needs. These expenses are times FOUR.

It is my desire to speak on their behalf in asking that you please help alleviate their present and future hardships by making a generous donation. This will allow the family to focus on recovery as they transition into their new reality.

This journey has been extremely emotional and challenging, but we are strong for the Murphy's. The amazing four are loved by their family, friends, community, and kind supporters.
