Help a Local Veteran Rebuild After Hurricane Milton

Hi everyone,

We’re asking for your help for our good friend and Brother, Ryan Piatt. Bro. Piatt is a proud, hard-working Army veteran, dedicated father, and beloved member of our Lodge. He is always stepping up for others; now, it’s our turn to be there for him.

Ryan served over seven years in the Army, including tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He’s a member of Brandon Lodge No. 114, and if you know him, you know he’s the type of person who never complains, no matter what life throws at him.

Ryan is currently fighting stage 3B malignant melanoma. He’s already gone through a year of immunotherapy, which at first helped, but the cancer has returned. Now, he’s starting radiation treatments because the cancer has spread near his heart and lungs. On top of that, his home was hit hard by Hurricane Milton. Flooding was a foot deep, stayed for two weeks, and left severe mold damage, which required a gutting of the interior of his home.

Despite all of this, Ryan keeps moving forward. He’s still working and caring for his family, including a child with special needs. On top of all this, he is trying to grow his small beekeeping business. But it’s a lot. And right now, he and his family could use a hand.

We’re raising funds to help Ryan:

• Get professional help treating the mold and repairing flood damage

• Bridge the gap financially while the family gets back on their feet
