Have a Heart - Help a Local Teacher in Need!

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read our request. We are starting this fundraiser to help Lisa Fugate, a teacher at MRC in Breathitt County, pay unexpected medical bills. She had a heart attack and was very blessed to survive.
Medical bills and expenses are outrageous and although we hate to ask, we could really use your support.
On 3-13-23, she was admitted to ARH through the emergency room. It was discovered that she was indeed suffering from a heart attack.
She had an emergency heart catheter where it was discovered that it was a stemi or “widowmaker” heart attack! The medical staff were able to balloon the clogged artery and place a stent.
It was then discovered that she had other blockages….one in a branched artery that is around 73 - 75 percent. Due to the location, they were unable to stent it at that time.
Lisa was kept under strict observation in the ICU unit until that Wednesday evening. She was sent home with a lot of new medicine and a lot of the unknown.
As you can already see, she has upcoming procedures as well. The doctor stated that she may have to travel to another city for the stent. And that will lead to more lost work time and additional expenses.
Lisa is a kind and caring person and a wonderful teacher. It is frustrating to her that she can’t go back to her school right now or in the near future to see her students.
The doctors stated that she is required NOT to work and NOT to drive. So our family has lost her teaching income. Plus, we both work in Jackson and Hazard as DoorDash drivers to supplement our income. She has lost the ability to her DoorDash job since she can’t drive now.
I don’t want her to have the stress and worry of “how in the world are we ever going to pay for all this?” I just want her to rest and heal.
Please help if you can. She is restricted from work. She misses her students and her job. However, she has to focus on her health.
Any amount will help. And if you can’t help financially then please share this with your friends and family who may be able to help.
