The Treetop Montessori School in Sturbridge, MA suffered a tremendous loss last night. They lost their entire school, displacing 44 students ages 2.9-6 and their families. We are trying to raise enough funds to get the school up and running as quickly as possible to accommodate the families and the children. Their concern right now is getting a space for children to learn. Ms. Shelby was so concerned with the kids missing classes during this critical development period for them, not about the building or the stuff...the children’s development.
This school was started by the Becky and Gary Galonek and taken over by a local family, Jake and Shelby Hill. They love their school and the children who attend. They have worked very hard to grow a nurturing environment for kids to learn and grow. Please consider making a donation. Venmo also set up @treetopfundraiser . If you would like to donate items versus money please email me at [email redacted].
Any funds raised will be used to secure a temporary school location and supplies while The Galoneks and The Hills work through the restoration of the Galonek’s building the Hill’s school. Insurance will cover a portion but we are some time away from that becoming available and it will not cover all the costs they will incur. All will be paid forward.
Prayers and well wishes are welcome.
