Help a local flood affected family get back home

Hi there, my name is Janette from Aussie Battlers. We are a small charity in North Haven, founded by Karen Sparkes, that has been operating for approximately 10 years. We have one family in particular that needs a lot of help. A young husband had a car accident 2 years ago and as a result has a broken back. His wife is his Carer. They also have a young son with special needs as well as a medical condition.  They purchased a home in North Haven prior to the flood. It was set up to accomodate the husbands needs so the wife was able to work. Now that it’s been flooded they have had to move into temporary accomodation and the wife had to quit work to care for him full time. They are not entitled to Centrelink as they purchased their home with money from compensation and have been precluded for 10 years. Their only income is a small carer allowance of just over $100 per week. They have no money to fix their home and haven’t received enough money in grants to fix it. We at Aussie Battlers want to help as much as possible. The sooner they can get back into their home, the sooner the wife can go back to work and receive an income for the family. We are prepared to do the work for this family but we need money to buy materials to purchase flooring, a kitchen and bathroom, furniture etc. Please help if you can.
