My best friend texted me first thing this morning with what nightmares are made of. Their home was on fire. The only home their 2 daughters know, where the neighborhood friends run in and out of, and where all their family’s core memories are held. Burning.

The house was full of family; grandparents were visiting, the girls were just waking up for a nice, slow Sunday morning of cartoons. Auntie JoJo was sleeping in the basement.

Everyone including 3 dogs got out safe!

This family are all givers: the 3 adults living in the home are all pediatric nurses, volunteer coaches for the girls soccer teams and active members in our community.

They will be displaced for at least 8-12 months and are still unsure what happens next.
