Our community is coming together to help a local elderly widower and proud decorated Veteran who is facing a devastating legal battle after what appears to be an attempt to take advantage of him through a real estate transaction. Recently, a wholesaler approached Ron, an elderly homeowner about purchasing his property. Like many seniors, he trusted the information he was given and did not fully understand the legal implications of the contract presented to him. After realizing the situation did not feel right, he chose not to proceed with the sale.

Unfortunately, the wholesaler has now filed a lawsuit for "specific performance," attempting to force the sale of his home through the courts.

This homeowner has lived in his home for many years and is now being forced to defend himself legally, something he simply cannot afford on his fixed income. Hiring an attorney to defend this case will require a legal retainer that is far beyond his financial means.

That is why we are asking our community for help.

Like many seniors in our community, he spent decades working and making sacrifices so that one day he could fully pay off his home and live out his retirement without the burden of a mortgage.

Now, instead of enjoying the security he worked so hard to achieve, he is facing a complex legal situation that requires professional representation.
