One Family. Three Tragedies. One Hope.
Hello,
My name is Vladyslav. I have created this fundraiser on behalf of my cousin, Lozytskiy Yevhen, and his family in Kyiv because GoFundMe is not available for people in Ukraine in the same way it is in EU.
My cousin Yevhen, his wife, and their two young children are an ordinary family who have always worked hard to build a good life. They never imagined they would one day need to ask for help.
Today, they are trying to rebuild their lives after a devastating road accident that left Yevhen's wife with a permanent disability, followed by two Russian missile attacks that damaged their
home and destroyed their only family car.
Yevhen has spent many years working as a professional photographer in Kyiv, capturing weddings, newborns, families, and life's happiest moments. His work has always been about
preserving memories for others. He never imagined that one day he would be documenting his own family's story.
Before the Missile Attacks
On May 5, 2024, during the Easter holiday, Yevhen's wife was struck by a shuttle bus on a pedestrian crossing in Kyiv.
She suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, spent eight days in intensive care and more than six weeks in the hospital, and underwent multiple surgeries.
Although she survived, she now lives with a permanent Group II disability.
From that day on, Yevhen became not only a husband and father but also his wife's primary caregiver while continuing to support the family through his work.
Despite everything, they never asked for financial help.
The First Missile Attack
On June 15, 2026, a Russian missile attack struck near their apartment building.
The blast wave shattered every window in their apartment.
Glass covered the children's bedrooms, furniture, and toys.
Thankfully, no one was seriously injured, but the family was left to repair their home on their own.
The Second Missile Attack
Only three weeks later, on July 6, 2026, another Russian missile attack struck their neighborhood.
Their only family car, parked inside their garage, caught fire and was completely destroyed.
For most families, losing a car is a financial setback.
For Yevhen's family, it was much more.
Because of his wife's disability, the car was essential for medical appointments, rehabilitation, caring for the children, shopping, and everyday life.
Their Children
Their son is 7 years old and will soon begin second grade.
Their daughter is 6 years old and is excited to start first grade after finishing kindergarten.
Like every child, they should be looking forward to school, friends, and birthdays.
Instead, they have learned to recognize air raid sirens and live with the fear of another missile attack.

Why I Created This Fundraiser
Asking for help was incredibly difficult for Yevhen.
He has always believed that hard work would allow him to provide for his family.
After everything they have been through, rebuilding alone is no longer possible.
Every donation made through this campaign will be transferred вirectly to Yevhen and his family in Kyiv.

It is to help my wife continue her recovery and to give our children the chance to grow up feeling
safe again.
