A Life Is on the Line — Please Help Chris Kerr
We are asking for your prayers and your immediate help.
Chris Kerr is a kind-hearted, gentle soul — the type of man who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. For years, Chris has lived with compassion, humility, and a servant’s heart. Today, his life hangs in the balance.
In 2021, Chris received a heart pacemaker that gave him hope and more time. That device has now failed. Chris is currently back in the ICU after nearly two months in the hospital and a nursing facility. Doctors have determined that he is in urgent need of a heart transplant. Without it, his condition is life-threatening.
Because of this sudden and devastating medical crisis, Chris has lost everything. He can no longer work. His life savings and 401(k) are completely exhausted, spent simply trying to stay alive. Although he has recently been assigned a caseworker and has begun the disability process, assistance takes time — time Chris does not have.
Chris is now facing imminent homelessness. His rent is $7,800 past due, and eviction is looming. Daily nursing home fees and medical expenses continue to grow. He is fighting for his life while also fighting not to lose his home.
Through tears, Chris shared that he does not want to go home just to die. He is praying for a miracle — and sometimes, God answers prayers through people.
We are urgently trying to raise $52,800 to help cover:
Back rent to prevent homelessness
Nursing home and daily care expenses
Medical and transplant-related costs
Basic living needs during this critical time
The Bible reminds us: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
If God places it on your heart, please give whatever you can — $1, $5, $10, $20, or more. Every gift matters. Every share matters.
And please remember to lift Chris up in prayer and share this fundraiser with others.
Together, through faith, compassion, and action, we can give Chris hope, dignity, and a fighting chance at life.
Please help today. Time is critical.
Thank you, and God bless you.
