Hi, I’m Diana. I’m raising funds for people in Jamaica who mean the world to me - Richard, his wife Desiree, and their three children. They’re not my blood relatives, but they are family in every way that matters. My whole family back home in New York has loved and considered them as part of our family for as long as I can remember. We've truly been through life together.

Hurricane Melissa devastated their community. Richard works in tourism, but with the island smashed and no visitors coming in, work has completely stopped and will be for some time.

They have neighbors who have been impacted even worse than they have, leaving them completely homeless. Houses have been flattened. And Richard is committed to sharing whatever blessings come in.

I think it's beautiful that even in the middle of their own loss, they're still thinking about taking care of others with whatever they're blessed with. They are just happy to be alive and I'm so glad I heard their voices today.
