Hi! My name is Amanda Raker, and I am an animal advocate based in Sunnyside, Queens. I'm here today to humbly ask for your support for a homeless senior cat. His name is Smokie and due to rising real estate costs in NYC, his owner can no longer care for him. Smokie is 17 years old, may have had a stroke recently, but otherwise is a healthy cat. The true miracle is that I was able to find Smokie a retirement home with a trusted neighbor; however, she is has other cats, so in order for him to go live with her, we need to raise money for his vet bill. Smokie has not seen a vet since his adoption 17 years ago, so he needs a full workup and shots.
