On May 3, 2017, my sister in-law, Stacy Ames, woke up to a fire.  Stacy was able to leave the house, and went back in not only once - to save the woman she was care taking for, but also a second time to rescue the dogs (one dog survived, unfortunately the other did not make it).  Stacy saved not only her own life, but was selfless and brave to save two other lives!!!  

Both were sent to the ER in Pueblo and Stacy was airlifted on Flight for Life  to Swedish Medical Center in Denver, which is a Level 1 Trauma Center.  For the first day, Stacy was in the burn unit in a medically-induced coma and had a breathing tube.  Miraculously, within 24 hours, she was conscious and breathing on her own.  

What is completely heartbreaking is that the house that she was living in (she had a room in the house that is owned by the woman she was care-taking for) is destroyed and Stacy lost everything she owned due to the damage from the fire (well except for her car, but her transmission went out this week so she's now out a car now too).  Imagine losing everything you own...having nothing. In fact, she didn't even have a change of her clothes to leave the hospital when she was discharged today (May 5).  And being homeless to boot without any funds to rent a new place (first and last months rent, security deposit, etc.).    

Please consider helping Stacy get back on her feet and rebuild her life; any amount will go a long way.  Think about my sister in-law's selflessness in risking her life to save other lives; we can certainly be selfless and donate to help her rebuild her life.  We have heartfelt gratitude for anything you can contribute.
