Help A Hero From Afghanistan Survive Cancer

Dear friends and community,

My name is Sandra, and I am Yousuf 's friend.

I started this campaign to raise money for our wonderful and very kind-hearted Sayed Yousuf Saberi.

Yousef came to Canada in 2023 as a refugee from his home country, Afghanistan. He arrived in Canada alone - without any members of his immediate family - leaving his wife and children in hopes of providing for them from a far and eventually reuniting with them in the future. Unfortunately, in July 2025 when he was hospitalized in the Niagara Falls General Hospital in Ontario Canada, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in the stomach.

Yousuf was working in Niagara-on-the-Lake as a maintenance staff in order to financially support his wife and children back home. At the same time, he attended English classes to improve his language skills here in Canada, as well as learn about Canadian culture and the community he now lives in and loves.

When he heard the news of his Cancer, his illness had a deep emotional impact because he felt very alone in a foreign country.

Later, in August 2025, Yousuf was transferred to Marotta Family Hospital in St. Catharines to the Department of Oncology to start his Chemotherapy.

This campaign of raising money will give the possibility of helping his family come to Canada, so that the family can be together and by Yousuf's side during this difficult time.

He waits for a miracle to see his wife and his five children.
