Dear Friends and Family,
It’s with a heavy heart that we share this update.
Our dear Eva passed away Sunday morning, December 15.
Over the last year, Eva took on an unimaginable healing journey. Suffering from a broken heart after the loss of her son, Rod, Eva overcame breast cancer. She was declared cancer-free in November, and it was you who made that victory possible. All the while, Eva continued her role as a community builder and healer, ever dedicated to her life’s work of healing and helping others.
On December 11, she went into the hospital for a kidney infection which escalated to sepsis. We all know that Eva’s “fight” and life force is unyielding; nevertheless, this time she had other plans - of divine making. She passed quickly and gently on Sunday morning, and, we’d like to believe, right into the arms of Rod. She united all of us through healing - through her journey and our own. And while this news to many might imply the end of her quest, as Eva’s community, we know it’s merely a new and unbridled chapter. A dear friend said, “Eva is now the very energy she could wield. Can you imagine what she will do?!”
Eva made such a difference in each of our lives, and she was so grateful for the difference you made in hers. We’d like to say thank you again to this extraordinary community for your generosity and light.
We will be celebrating the life of Eva T. Crow on January 3, 2025 at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Atlanta, Georgia (more details to follow). In lieu of flowers, we are collecting donations, here, via Eva's GoFundMe campaign page. Eva independently provided financial support and care to children in need in Atlanta. To honor Eva and her commitment to building family and community, all donations made through Eva's GoFundMe will go directly to the continued support of these children.
With love,
Eva’s GFM Team
