Help a Growing Family Rebuild After the Storm

Hi all! We are the Mauser family of 4 soon to be family of 5 in 2 weeks or less. I am Corey, an army vet and my wife is currently active duty. We have experienced storms living out here in Augusta, Georgia but nothing like what hurricane Helene brought. We hate having to ask for help and can usually figure things out ourselves. We had 3 trees fall on our home. One sideswiped the garage which resulted in half the roof being taken off, breaking the wall with the breaker box exposing wires, and landing on 2 of our vehicles. One being our new to us suburban we bought recently to better fit our growing family. The other 2 trees landed on our bedroom, my work trailer stopping one from coming through, and somebody looking out above keeping the other one from coming all the way through. We had another tree land on our third truck totaling it as well. Fortunately one of our trucks was unscathed but that leaves us with one vehicle. We currently have no power to our home and are not sure of the extent of the damage yet. It is looking like we will have to stay in our camper for the time being. Not the ideal way we’d like to be living when welcoming our daughter but we are all safe and that’s what matters. Funds raised will be used to pay for expenses that come with having to relocate in our camper, food, water, generator, gas. We will use it to replace or fix items damaged and cleanup. I know we weren’t hit the worst and definitely appreciate the help. Thank you! If we do surpass our goal or if we don’t use all of the money raised we will use it to help others in our community and people we know were affected as well.
