Hi, I’m Sandy. I work at a school in Monterey County, California. A rural, close-knit community. One of our valued employees has experienced the unfathomable. Her son was killed in a tragic car accident and her other two children have sustained injuries.

As I get to know this student’s friends and help them grieve, I learn what an impact he had on his friends, family & community. The grief this school is experiencing is immense.

She is a single mother.

No mother should ever have to bury their child.
