Help a great man and mentor

My name is Chris Varner, I have been a high school football coach for 26 years and a high school teacher for 20 years. I have always believed that a teacher or coach should have an impact on the players and students that they have been entrusted with. The person who first taught me to approach my profession with this attitude was my great friend and mentor Steve Boutilier.
In 2003 when I was 26 years old I started my career in Santa Clarita. I had a car, a dream, and not much else going for me in my life. Steve saw the potential in me and gave me a place to live, food to eat, and life advice I shall never forget. Anyone who knows Steve can attest to his kind heart and giving nature. Steve was a special education teacher and football coach for many years and was someone who was easy to admire.
Steve has continued to be a positive light for people around him as he currently works at the HEB Center Cedar Park for the Texas Stars.
Recently Steve had open heart surgery after a heart attack six years ago. The doctors first installed a new pig valve which began to fail resulting in him being unable to breathe. Fortunately, they were able to do a valve replacement procedure and he has successfully started rehab as well as strength rehab.
Steve is financially responsible for almost $10,000 of medical bills and I am asking people who know him or have been impacted by him to help. He is a faithful and loyal friend that would never ask for anything on his own so I am doing it for him.. If you can not afford to give money then please send much-needed prayers.
Thank you and God Bless!
