On September 27, our lives changed forever. We never could have imagined that we would be hit with a hurricane in the middle of Georgia. We thank God we made it through that terrible night with our lives. Now we are dealing with the aftermath. We ended up with 8 trees on our house. 3 trees actually broke through the ceilings and caused extensive damage. Our insurance is not enough to fix our house. I'm a teacher, my husband is a nurse and in nurse practitioner school. We were not prepared at all for a financial crisis like this.

To continue fixing our house so we are able to live in it, we need an additional $45,000 that insurance did not cover. FEMA has been no help at all. Any help would be appreciated.
