I’m writing on behalf of a sweet family of 4 in a financial emergency. This family would never ask for help themselves, which is why this must remain anonymous.

The husband has lost work, spiraling them quickly into dire circumstances compounded with medical issues, multiple hardships, and deaths this year, and debts that have only gotten worse due to this immediate change.

They are facing an unexpected financial crisis after their primary income and whole industry changed almost overnight. Despite applying relentlessly everywhere and taking any work available, nobody is hiring until January. Even still, the income they have gotten from selling things and side jobs has not been enough for them at all to keep up with rent and basic needs.

With young children and no ability to afford childcare, one parent must remain home while the other continues working and searching for stability.

What makes this especially hard is that this family has always been the ones helping all others—often at their own expense.

Even when times were tight, they consistently paid collaborators and crew, family, or neighbors so others could feed their families. They always donated faithfully to charities like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, supported local organizations, shared everything they had with those in need, often fed and cared for the homeless, and personally gave coats, blankets, food, and money to people in need even when all they had left was very little.

They are the kind of people who would give the shirt off their own back without hesitation for a family in need. They have never asked for help like this before, but as their friends, we see how badly they need it now before they lose their home. They are now facing eviction within the next 25 days, cannot afford groceries or Christmas for their sweet little girls, and this fundraiser is a final emergency effort to keep their children housed while they transition into new work and can get on their feet.
