My name is Ahmed Nassar , and I am a father of two young children— Karim ages 6 and Kinda 5—living in Gaza. *images below
For over 600 days, we have been enduring the unimaginable. The ongoing war has taken everything from us—our home, our source of income, and our sense of safety. Prices have skyrocketed beyond reach, and basic necessities like flour, clean water, and medicine have become nearly impossible to find.
Since the beginning of the war, we’ve been cooking over open fires due to the lack of gas and electricity. This has caused serious health issues for my family, especially my children, due to the constant smoke and pollution. We've run out of savings long ago, and every day is a struggle for survival.
We have been forcibly displaced more than 15 times, and we are still displaced today. Each time we flee, we lose what little we have left—our belongings, mattresses, blankets, cooking tools, and all the basic items needed to live with dignity. We are left to start over again and again, from nothing.
Despite the danger, I walk my children to a nearby school each day, praying they will return safely. Our street has witnessed multiple massacres. The sound of drones and bombings fills our nights, and we live in constant fear that we might not see another sunrise.
I am desperately trying to find a way out of Gaza—to take my family to a place where my children can live without fear, resume their education, and begin to heal. A place where they can be children again, not victims of war.
My children no longer sleep peacefully. Night after night, they wake up crying and screaming from terrifying nightmares—haunted by the sounds of airstrikes, collapsing buildings, and the images of destruction and loss they've witnessed far too young
But until that becomes possible, we are in urgent need of support. The prices of food and medicine have risen beyond reason. We cannot afford basic items like flour, clean water, warm clothes, or medicine. There is no source of income. Every day is a painful struggle to feed my children and keep them safe.
You’re funds will go towards buying food and basic medical aid, paying Rafah crossing fees about 5k$ per person, and paying rent in Egypt.
Please help me protect my children. Help me give them the chance to live
We are not just numbers in the news—we are people, parents, and children trying to survive. I am humbly asking for your help. Your support can make the difference between hunger and hope, between despair and dignity.
Please consider donating or sharing our story. Even a small act of kindness can mean the world to my family in this dark time.
Thank you for standing with us.
