In 2023, I rediscovered 11 childhood journals in which I had recorded my every thought. One theme appeared again and again: my obsession with Jenna Fischer, the actress who played Pam on the international sitcom The Office.
Those entries became the foundation for @Jenna, a solo show about that fixation—and the other crushes that followed throughout my adolescence. While I kept those feelings secret at the time, my journals captured everything in real time, as well as the only “listener” I confided in: a tree in my backyard.
@Jenna is a poignant and comedic solo play about coming of age, queer identity, and the messy road to self-acceptance. Featuring the raw, unfiltered emotions of a confused tween, original characters, lots of dancing, and even a surprise wedding, the show has been performed over the past three years in New York and Los Angeles (The Second City NY, UCB, Caveat, Zephyr, The Elysian). It received a rave review in The Brooklyn Daily Eagle and was featured in Time’s “Things to Do This Week.”
@Jenna is heading to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland this year for a 27-day run, and the team is currently seeking support to help cover essential costs, including theatre expenses, travel, and PR/marketing.
Any contribution—large or small—would be so genuinely appreciated and will directly support bringing this production to the Fringe. Thank you so much for considering helping make this run possible!
