Since I first started at American University Washington College of Law, I always intended to participate in their Summer in Europe program. In February, I applied and was accepted into the program. However, due to recent American policy changes, there have been some unexpected challenges. Namely, I now have to apply for travel clearance in England, and the cost of flights to Europe in general has doubled. Additionally, while my scholarship will fully cover all costs of the program, the school is not allowed to disburse any funds until this current semester has officially ended. This will not be until June, when all my grades have been put into the system. Since my program begins on June 1st, this is especially difficult for me since I will not receive my funds until after the program has started. I am currently in the middle of finals, and any time spent earning money would be taking away from time studying for my finals. As such, I am requesting any help whatsoever - even $10 would be appreciated!

Requested Funds Breakdown:

$800 for the round-trip airfare from DC to Europe

$350 for travel while in Europe (trains and buses)

$350 for food while in Europe

While in Europe, I will be spending two weeks in Geneva, Switzerland studying international trade at the World Trade Organization and the World Intellectual Property Organization. Then, I will spend a week in London shadowing in international law firms. Finally, I will spend a week in Brussels, Belgium studying regulations at the European Union. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where I will also get to spend time with lawyers and professors in the field of international law. Please help me make it happen!
