Help Me Finish Vet School - One Year to Go!
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Diane and I am currently a veterinary student at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in the Class of 2026 hoping to be a future emergency veterinarian! I've worked tirelessly to get here but now I need some help to cross the finish line.
Due to unexpected family and financial hardship, I have been covering the cost of everything, from school, living expenses and pet care on my own for the past two years. During clinical rotations - our most demanding year - I will be rotating through the different specialties at Cornell University's Hospital for Animal for 12+ hours most days with on-call shifts, leaving no time for the side gigs I have relied on thus far to stay afloat.
Your support will help cover essentials like rent, groceries, pet care for my rescue animals, examination prep for my licensing exam this fall, and travel to/from job interviews and externships. I have done everything I can to get here - from working shifts as a technician at a local veterinary hospital in Ithaca and tutoring high-schoolers online to pet-sitting pigs and photographing school events and applying for scholarships - but now I need some help from my village
If you believe in the power of perseverance and love for animals, please continue donating or sharing. I am the girl who had a childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian and it feels surreal every day that I am at this point and so close to achieving my life-long dream. Every bit of support brings me closer to becoming the veterinarian I have always aspired of becoming.
With immense gratitude,
Diane (a very tired but very determined future "dogtor")
