Help a friend whose house was damaged by a tree
Donation protected
My good friend from college, Eddie Reece, has had a large tree fall on his home. A lot of damage was done and the home is currently unlivable. Unfortunately, he did not have insurance at the time and so all costs of repairs are his responsibility. For those of you who have done any repairs or remodeling to your home will realize how expensive that can be. Can you please help me to help him get back in his home? Here is a message from Eddie.

A few days ago, I had a tree fall on my house, and in the mistake of my life; I didn’t have homeowner’s insurance. I’ve learned a tough, hard lesson. I’m lucky that the tree didn’t fall true to gravity or a little earlier in the day because it easily could’ve killed me while I was sleeping. I’ve moved past the initial shock and embarrassment of not being covered by insurance, and am going forward with a positive attitude, and appreciation for all the kindness, love, and help everyone has shown me.
This page is to help me get a complete roof back on the house with the extensive repairs that are needed. I’ll be needing new rafters, ceiling joists, and decking among so many other aspects of repair to the house. I’m wanting to get the roof on, and the structure “dried in” and then I’ll be able to proceed with other aspects of making the house whole again.
All I can do is say a sincere and profound word of thanks for all the generosity shown me in my time of need. All I can do is vow to spend the rest of my life paying forward all the continued help and kindness given me as I continue to go through this process of healing and repairing the house.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Know that every little bit, and ANY little bit will help me tremendously.
Warmly,
Eddie
