This week, a good friend of mine encountered a very serious domestic violence situation. While she wishes to remain anonymous at this time, she now has a no contact court order against her husband. They have 4 kids together with the youngest being only 2. She’s been a stay at home mom most of their marriage and she just got her first job this year. Her life has now been turned upside down as he was her everything. Her transportation, her help with the kids, her financial stability and most importantly, someone she thought she could trust. She’s been calling all resources for financial help but will not be able to cover her rent and other bills this month in time. She is taking a few weeks off of work as well to figure out child care, transportation and how she’s going to make the next chapter in her life work. I would love to decrease some of the burden of bills by helping her out with a little to get her caught up so she has one less thing to worry about.
