Supporting a friend During an Unexpected Work Loss

Hi everyone,

I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend, who is facing an unexpected financial setback during Ramadan.

She has been working as a substitute teacher at a Christian school in California. While observing Ramadan, concerns were raised that she could be considered a potential medical risk while fasting. As a result, she is currently not being scheduled for shifts.

As a substitute teacher, her income depends entirely on being called in to work. Without consistent assignments, she has no steady paycheck, and rent and monthly bills continue regardless.

Ramadan is a deeply meaningful time of faith, reflection, and commitment for her. She is navigating this situation with grace, but the sudden loss of income has created real financial strain.

We are raising funds to help her cover:
