At 22, I’m a college student trying to survive on my own after aging out of foster care following 21 years in the system. I’ve been an orphan since 15 and was left without family or a safety net when I aged out. I’m now facing eviction and struggling to afford basic necessities. Most days, I go without eating because I have to choose between rent, food, and simply getting by. Living with asthma makes things even harder, and I’m constantly forced to choose between keeping a roof over my head, being able to eat, and taking care of myself. I’m trying to raise $4,000 to avoid eviction and get through this difficult time. I’m doing everything I can as a student to build a future for myself, but right now, I need help. Any donation or share could make a life-changing difference. Funding would mean an easier start to the semester with some financial relief and housing secured for 2 months after previous months are caught up. It would also mean being able to pay for 2 months of Asthma treatments.
